Be specific
with your keywords.
If you sell
a brand name product, list the brand name. Also, try listing model
numbers, titles, as long as it is related to your site and/or the products/services
you offer.
Use variations
of your keywords.
How many different ways is there is say what is on your site? You
should list them all. For example, if you sell music CDs, you would
probably want to list the keywords: music, cd, cds, music cds, compact
disks, musical recordings, etc.
Make your
description as informative as possible.
Don't just say "This is a great web site" and leave it at that, try to
add some specific information and bulk it up a little bit.
Cater
to your keywords
Don't use
generalized descriptions. Make your title and description for each keyword
listing sound like it was written just for that keyword/keyword phrase,
and that you have the site that these people are looking for. For example,
let's say you are advertising an electronics store and you bid on the
keyword phrase "car stereo", you don't want you description
to say "we sell TV's and computers at the cheapest prices around"
you would be better off saying something like "we offer a complete
line of car stereos from JVC, Pioneer, Alpine, and Rockford Fosgate at
unbelievably low prices. Visit our site to see our daily specials!"
List directory
keywords if possible.
A large portion of search engine traffic choose to peruse the directories,
and the only way to get listed under a specific directory or sub directory
is to list that directory as a keyword or keyword phrase.
Update
your bids often to stay on top.
Keeping your bids on or near the top of the search results is important
if you want a lot of traffic. If someone does a search and finds
what they are looking for on the first page of search results, chances
are that they wouldn't continue to the second page.
